Second member of the Beryl family is morganite. A pretty recently discovered gemstone, known for its pink colour, making it one of most feminine gemstones.  

What you need to know:

A morganite is a variety of the Beryl minerals and is a pink to orange-pink coloured gemstone. The colour is due to the traces of manganese inside. Like other beryl minerals, morganite is a very scratch resistant and though gemstone.

Colours:

·       Yellowish orange

·       Orange to orange-pink

·       Pink to purplish-pink

Origin:

·       Madagascar

·       Afghanistan

·       Brazil
