Meet the team

Guy Gorenstein

Guy Gorenstein joined Gem World in 2004, after his formation in cutting and polishing diamonds. He is specialised in diamond machinery from Belgium(WTOCD), diamond grading, rough diamonds and gemmology (HRD).

After his father, Jehuda Gorenstein (founder of Gem World), passed away in 2010, Guy took over the company and became the new director.

Maxime Ruelle

In 2016, Maxime joined the Gem World team after his training in cutting and polishing of gemstones. He is specialised in the reparation, recutting and repolishing of any type of coloured stones.

He is one out of few gem cutters in the city ofAntwerp and happy to help you with everything when it comes to reparation, recutting and repolishing of any types of gemstones.

Elinor Hassin

Elinor Hassin is the rock behind Gem World. She’s the loving wife of Guy Gorenstein and mother of three beautiful children. Since 2011 she has been helping out Guy with the administration of Gem World and in 2015 she graduated as accountant.

At the moment she’s following an ITAA stage to become a certified accountant. Next to her several hobbies, she also has a passion for gemstones.

Sarah Serapiglia

In 2021, Sarah Serapiglia joined the Gem World team as the new Sales Assistant. She is an enthusiastic young lady who is impatient to learn more about the beauty of gemstones.

Sarah was hired to keep up with the raise of clients orders. With a good knowledge of Dutch, French and English she is the perfect addition to our team.

Liam Proost

Liam Proost, nephew of director Guy Gorenstein, is Gem Worlds first pupil. Liam is a young and charming boy who, like most boys of his age, didn’t know what he wanted to do with his life.

Luckily, his uncle was able to make him curious about gemstones. Now, few months later, Liam is the pupil of Maxime Ruelle and a promising polisher to be!

Gem World was founded in 1982 by Jehuda Gorenstein, and immediately established itself as a key authority in the in the trade of gemstones.

In 2004, after his formation in cutting and polishing diamonds, Guy Gorenstein joined Gem World.

Jehuda passed away and his son Guy Gorenstein took over the company.
